They charge exorbitant interest rates! Steer clear of this idea.
Do you have a line of credit on your checking account? If not, apply for one.
Payday loans are a vicious circle type loan to get in to, but if you really need one, you should check out, they are really helpful, and easy to deal with. Check N’ Go is another company that is located in a lot of states. Hope it helps! Be prepared to come up with your last paystub, your current bank statement, social security card, current utility bill, state i.d. and checkbook from an open checking account.
they charge like over 400% interest… no joke!
if you can get the money before the end of Nov, maybe a friend or family member would be willing to help u out.
Some states outlaw payday loan places because they charge interest rates that are so exorbitant and are akin to loan sharks. I checked a couple of places around me and the average annual interest rate is about 156%. One place, for a $400 loan for two weeks, they charge you $60, so by the time the loan is due in two weeks, you have to pay them $460 to get out of it. They base what you can borrow against what you earn. With an income of $2000 a month, one of the more generous loan places here will let you borrow up to $700.
I’ve known people who have used them in emergencies thinking they could pay it right back, but get caught in a vicious circle with them that ends up costing them a lot more money over the long run because of the interest they charge. If you can avoid having to do that, I’d highly recommend it.
The best thing to do is call the people you owe and see if you can change the due dates on your bills to after you get paid. Most companies will work with you if you call them before the due dates. Pay day loans charge is very high. They do this by assessing a fee not charging interest. One of the people I work with was doing it and he was paying 15% of the amount in fees. In your case that’s $150 can you afford to lose $150? Avoid it if you can.
I would suggest you do everything except get a payday loan. See if you can wait to pay the grand somehow. Payday loans have big financial consequences, and they became a vicious financial cycle for me. They bleed you to death, and you might eventually re-financing them because you can’t afford to pay them right when they’re due. It took me 18 months to pay a $500 loan!! No joke! Good luck, and I hope you figure something out…
Get ready to pay 20% interest a week
