Its good if you going to pay them right away, but you usually end up paying double the amount you borrowed. I think the best thing is for your bf to ask a friend or family member. But here is what I know about payday loans: Usually you have to be at your job more than 6 months, have an active checking account (from which they will deduct the pmnts electronically) most of them have a fee of like $90 per $100 you borrow. Lets say that you borrown $200 then it would be $180 in fees. Thats only if you pay the entire loan in two pmnts. But if you dont have the money you can always renew the loan therefore resulting in more fees. Thats how you end up paying double (sometimes even more). Not a good idea.
