MELBOURNE Victory has signed Socceroos defender Michael Thwaite on a one-year loan deal from Norwegian club SK Brann. Thwaite, 25, joins Brazilian Ney Fabiano De Oliveira, Billy Celeski and Tom Pondeljak as key reinforcements for a Victory side that missed the A-League finals last seasonr. Meanwhile, striker Danny Allsopp is out to prove a point and has set Victory the target of winning the A-League title this season.
