Bluebirds capture Enckelman - ic Wales(Loans With Quick Sign)
FINNISH international Peter Enckelman will sign for Cardiff City today. Enckelman trained with Blackburn today and will link up with his new Cardiff team-mates at their Vale of Glamorgan Hotel training headquarters tomorrow. Enckelman, whose father Goran was also a Finnish international, has been in British football for eight years, having joined Aston Villa from his home-town club TPS Turku in 1999. Enckelman will then battle it out with experienced Michael Oakes for the first team shirt at Cardiff City. Enckelman, Cardiff’s fifth goalkeeper this season, following Oakes, Forde, Kasper Schmeichel and Ross Turnbull, achieved national notoriety while playing for Aston Villa against Birmingham City in 2002.
