Global Survey Shows US Employees Give Highest Marks to Their Managers - FOXBusiness- About: How Pay Advances Work

The international “Employees Assess Their Manager” survey asked employees to rate their relationship with their supervisors to gain insights about differences in workplaces and managerial styles. In contrast, other European countries — most notably France — reported more distant relationships with their managers. Specifically, they offered the highest ratings of any other country when asked if their immediate supervisor informs them of company changes or strategies (81 percent), gives them honest feedback about their work (85 percent), helps them advance at work (76 percent), and supports them in asking for a salary increase (62 percent). Management and HR consultant BPI and BVA Research, a leading European market research company, conducted an international survey of employees to find out how they assess their supervisors and to build clearer insights about the management models in each country. Founded in 1984, BPI is the leading European firm in human resources consulting and people management, and is the third largest career transition company in the world and the only global independent firm owned and operated by its managers.
