		<description>not legal  . If you were both written up then the most that you should be responsible for is $35 , half of the 70. If two of you were using the register they cant prove who the shortage was from.   I would protest it and contact a lawyer for advice .</description>

		<description>No, that's illegal.  Both of you shared the cash register and even she agreed that it couldn't be determined who was at fault.  For all you know, she could have helped herself and used you as a scapegoat. They cannot withhold your pay for the money.  They would have to sue you for the money.  Contact the labor board in your town and see what they have to say.  You are entitled for the 3 days of work at your regular pay.  Be glad you don't have to work there anymore.  I would hate to have to worry about the register or working for a place who can accuse you and take money from your check.</description>

		<description>Sounds like all of it is legal.  You would have to look at their company policy handbook.  They can fire you for any reason--there is nothing you can do about that.  If the money is bother you then go talk to the manager about it, but it will not get you your job back.</description>
